Ok, let’s face it, we all love QuikTrip. We all stop by almost everyday to get one of those famous .49 drinks and of course, we grab those unbelievable hot dogs and various other items baked fresh at that oh-so-famous QuikTrip factory…uh, I mean bakery.
So, since we’re all at QuikTrip, we might as well save money. Here’s two great money saving options from QT:
1. Join QT Rewards: It’s not a credit card, it’s a rewards card that is linked directly to your current checking account. You would use it in place of your normal debit card but you’ll get some awesome rewards! Here’s a few:
- Save 5¢ off each gallon of gas at QT for the first 90 days and 2¢ off each gallon after that.
- Earn up to 6 points for every dollar spent on all your other non-fuel purchases made outside of QT.
- $5 will be added right onto your card every time you reach 3,500 points
- Spend these cash rewards anywhere or transfer them to your checking account.
2. Join the QT Web Group: Once a month you’ll be sent a survey via e-mail. It’s quick and easy plus, just for filling it out, you’ll receive great printable coupons for things like FREE hot dogs or FREE drinks!

I've been thinking about signing up for that rewards card for awhile. Gonna have to talk to hubby about it, and see what he says.
Has anyone had a problem with the Rewards program? A guy my DH works with did it & said it automatically takes $50 out of your checking account(if your gas is < $50) or $100 (if your gas is > $50), and it takes 4-5 days for it to adjust to your actual purchase price. His wife bounced a couple of checks because of this. That shouldn't be an issue with us, but not sure the hassle is worth it… has anyone noticed this?
HMMM. That is a concern! I haven't heard anything about that-if anyone else has please comment!
I have the Rewards card and I have no problems with purchases on fuel or anything else. I also have not lost the use of my regular BOK debit card, so I can use both. The ONLY drawback I have found is that purchases do NOT debit out of your checking account as quick as regular debit card purchases. So, you just have to make sure to hang on to your receipts for checkbook balancing.
