There is a call on every single person in the earth, a purpose for their lives. The question is, will they ever fulfill it?

Right now, there is an anointing on me for what I am doing at this very moment.  I know it now and I knew it over 3 years ago when I first launched my business. Of course, just because you are called to do something does not mean it will be easy.

One thing I’ve learned about myself is when times get tough, I give up. Looking back over the last 10 years, I can see certain things that I knew God was calling me to do but I walked away from it the second it got difficult.

When I began my little coupon business, my husband said to me, “I don’t care what you do but stick with it long enough for God to bless it.” Every business I started, I never stuck it out through the hard times to see God bless it. I quit the second it got tough.

Want to know what happens when you quit something God has called you to do? God finds someone else to do it.

I had a great business idea nearly 8 years ago. I was excited, I had it all worked out in my head and had contacted someone to help see it through. In the midst of that, someone I knew decided to tell me that I could never do it. She discouraged me, I listened to her and I quit. Within 2 years, someone else had that same business idea right here in our city, that person took the idea and developed it. That business is now being franchised throughout the country.

God raised up someone else to do what he asked me to do. Aren’t you glad we worship a God of second chances? About 3 years ago, I felt that same stirring inside of me for a different type of business. I was determined not to quit, I wanted to see what would happen if I stuck it out and let God bless it.

Although that urge to run away when the going gets rough is still inside of me,  I constantly remind myself of this verse:

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

You and I have the ultimate conqueror inside of us! Determine today to develop a conquering spirit. Instead of running away when times are tough or difficult, hold fast and stand firm on the Word of God. God will not give you more than you can handle and God knows what is best for your life. If God called you to do something, he will give you the means to get it done.

Put on the attitude of a conqueror and when trouble comes your way, do not run away in fear. Look at the giant of trouble in front of you, run towards it like David did, throw your stone (the Word of God) and watch it fall!

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
