A Day in the Life...

It has officially been at least one year since I've posted an article like this so I'm thinking this is a little overdue. This is a chronicle of yesterday's crazy day so take it or leave it....here is a day in the life of the Queen:

5:07am: The sound of rushing water from my nature clock awakens me and also reminds me that I had only gone to bed 5 hours earlier.

6:56am: Head to Merritt's Bakery at 101st & Riverside in Tulsa for News on 6 live shots.

8:03am: First live shot. I ate cake...on TV...my teeth are blue.

8:15am: Second tease shot. I ate a cupcake...a royal cupcake. It was good.

9:15am: Yep, you guessed it, more cake and interviewed Bobbie Merritt who blessed the entire city with free slices of royal cake...over 250 pounds of it! Suddenly depressed about not having a tiara of my own.

10:01am: My brother in law had an emergency meeting and had to bring my nephew to me as soon as the live shots were done. We met and made the exchange, one kid for one cupcake. Good trade.

10:16am: My nephew and myself hit Walmart to stock up on supplies for the OKC Coupon Swap party. Obviously, he needed to eat the free cookie, a bite of a royal cupcake and make several valid attempts at putting the buggy seat belt in his mouth.

10:44am: Checking out at Walmart and suddenly remember I need a baby shower gift for a friend. We regroup and turn around to pick up the gift.

10:52am: Jump in the car to head home and get ready for to drive to OKC.

11:04am: Realize I forgot half the items I needed at Walmart and now visit Walmart #2.

11:17am: Spotted clearance at Walmart which obviously had to be posted on Facebook. I then proceeded to push the buggy through the store at remarkable speeds nearly running into someone, I said 'Oh! Excuse me, I'm so sorry.' I then realize the someone I nearly ran over was actually a reflection of myself in a mirror. Level of embarrassment...a 10.

11:32am: Head home and watch some of the royal wedding on TV. Pack my kiddos clothes for a night's stay at grandma's house and seriously debate about eating another cupcake. I was also researching and writing deals for Saturday while packing up the tour bus minivan for Oklahoma City. The Queen of multi-tasking I am.

12:32pm: Nephew picked up from my house. I then spend 30 minutes attempting to re-install car seats. Not an easy thing to do at all. Much screaming took place.

2:48pm: Joined by our Homeland contributor, Brandi, we jump in the mini and head toward Oklahoma City for the coupon swap party.

4:34pm: Arrive at News 9. Missed my hair and makeup appointment. Ugh.

4:41pm: On set doing an interview for Freebie Friday and the Coupon Swap.

4:50pm: OOH, I get my hair done. No time for make-up so I did that myself while getting the hair done. Not easy to do hair that just came out of a windstorm. Ouch.

5:12pm: Freebie Friday live on the set of News 9. Started to think about the cupcakes again....

5:22pm: Set up OKC swap party in the News 9 helicopter hangar, realize I forgot the ice. Head to a gas station in search of ice....Brandi runs the show.

6:00pm: Let the swap begin! We gave out more than $1,000 in prizes thanks to SeizetheDeal.com and cut coupons like crazy, plus there was food...food is good. Shoes are off. Not a fan of high heels on a long day.

8:47pm: Coupons are packed up, my shoes are back on and helicopter is placed back in its home. We're off again, back to T-town.

Yes, there was a stop at that lovely McDonald's on the way home but I can't remember the time of that so we'll have to use our imaginations.

10:01pm: Stop by my mother's house and pick up boxes of my books which she picked up for me earlier Friday at our warehouse. My dad cuts my coupons and my mom picks up my books, yep, everyone has a part to play.

10:21pm: Arrive home. Tired. Brandi heads home (over 1 hour away) and I head inside holding a cupcake...seriously, they followed me all day long.

12:22am (Saturday): I am writing this post. I just loaded up the minivan again for a Saturday Coupon Workshop (today), watched a short biography on Jeffrey Dahlmer which has officially scared me silly and now I am gearing up posts for the website.

My pillow is calling my name...maybe I'll just stay under my covers today...nah....

Boy, I sure wish I was able to attend the OKC event. I'm new to couponing and really wanted to be there. Is there another OKC event scheduled?
