Extreme Giving: Blessing Others with Diaper Deals
| Tweet |
Around here we've turned Extreme Couponing into Extreme Giving. Right now, you can follow the hashtag #extremegiving on twitter and tell us what you're giving and you can send in pictures to info@moneysavingqueen.com or post them on the Money Saving Queen Facebook page.
Couponing is a blessing not only to your family but to other families as well. You may not have a $100 bill in your pocket to give but you can certainly bless someone out of your stockpile. Today, I found this post on our forums and I wanted to share it with you, obviously, you can choose the charity of your choice but I think this illustrates perfectly, the importance of using coupons to give back:
Can you help us with DIAPERS for the month of May? In April alone, we gave out 3,240 diapers to women in need and our clients who earned them by participating in our Baby Bucks Program. That's a LOT of diapers.
I keep my eyes out for good buys on diapers, baby clothes, wipes and other goods just for this purpose. I also watch garage sales and thrift stores for infant car seats that are in good condition and no more than 5 years old. They tell me that they get calls all the time from moms who cannot bring their baby home from the hospital until they locate a car seat!
A few months ago, I saw this deal on diapers & wipes. It was so rewarding to go and get 6 packages of diapers and 1 package of wipes to donate for only $15.xx after coupons and rebate!! I can't afford to donate diapers at regular retail prices...even with just a sale. But I can afford to donate them when a great deal like this comes along!
I have been able to donate so much more since I have had access to the deals on the forums here on MoneySavingQueen.com. I think the Lord has used Sarah and the other posters on this site to bless many, many homes...not just the ones of those using the site! I urge you to creatively use your coupons and stockpiles to find ways to help others... in your own families, in your town, across America or even around the world.
Have you thought about it? How is the Lord leading you to make a difference with your coupons and new-found saving skills? Let's do this to His glory!
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25: 35-40

Anna Marie!
This is awesome! The needs of women in crisis pregnancies have been on my heart for a long time, and I recently started a facebook page devoted to deals on baby items to donate to crisis pregnancies centers! Anyone interested in blessing others this way should totally check it out!

What an inspirational post! My daughter, Molly, is still in diapers but we are always looking for ways to give back, as God has truly blessed us.
Sara(h), thank you for posting this, and MANY, MANY thanks to Anna Marie for posting her entry. Prior to her post, my family had never heard of Mend. What an AWESOME blessing to those in need!!
May God Bless and Keep You,
