Join Rally for State School Funding 5/9/12!
As you may know Oklahoma ranks 49th in education expenditures per student -- 49th! That's not okay. The Oklahoma Legislature is in the middle of budget talks, and education, as always, stands to lose funding.
If parents don’t stand up and advocate to restore education funding to pre-recession levels:
1. Class sizes will increase
2. Teachers will be cut
3. Course offerings will be eliminated
4. School districts stand to lose key resources
Please join 49th is Not OK at the Mad Mom March, Wednesday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma State Capitol, 2300 N Lincoln Blvd., to demand that state legislators add $50 million to the statewide education budget to help fill the funding gap in Oklahoma public schools.
RSVP to 49th is Not OK on Facebook with your commitment to attend and how many moms, dads, grandparents and other supporters you will bring with you!
49th is not OK. We MUST take action now.
