My Garage Sale List for the Summer

It's garage sale season! WOOT! WOOT! (Can you picture me yelling this?) Anyway, I have several things that I'm going to be searching for this Summer at local garage sales so I thought I would share my list with you. If you really want to save money using garage sales, it is important to create a shopping list. This keeps you on track and will help you avoid impulsive shopping...which we all tend to do.

{Sarah's Shopping List}

Big Boy Bed (I need to move my 3 year old into a 'big boy bed.' So, the plan is to look out for a good one.)

Mis-matched Pillows (I have two OLD couches and I don't necessarily want to buy new ones yet but I do want to funktify them a bit with mis-matched pillows).

Storage (Again, with the funky, I have to store tons of toys so I'd like something a little outside the norm that would be functional and cool to help me store stuff).

Containers (This is actually for my garden. I like using random things like I have a pail that is laying down looking as if flowers just spilled out of it. And, my onions are growing in an old wheel burrow. If I could talk my husband into it, I would totally buy an old bathtub for the garden too.)

Chunky Jewelry (Cool, chunky stuff in bright colors.)

Anything I can redo on the cheap (I love to redo things and especially if they're cheap that way if I mess it up, I'm not too worried about it.)

Alright, that's my list. What is on your list for Summer garage sales?

Shorts for my 4 year year old and dresses for my 10 year old. Some long necklaces for me would be nice.

Thanks to Pinterest, I have a running list of things that I am looking for this summer. Tops among them is Tshirts. I'm obsessed with upcycling them. Lace, especially tablecloths, and doilies; anything crocheted. Fabrics in red, white and blue to cut up and reuse the fabric - especially Tommy Hilfiger stuff to create a nautical look. Dishes for garden mosaics. Canvas or ballet flats and other type shoes to decoupage with great floral fabrics or do zendoodles on. I'm like you, if I'm going to experiment with something, I sure don't want to spend much on the prototype.
