3 Thoughtful and Frugal Teacher Gifts

Note: With school ending this week for my son, I thought it would make some sense to repost this one. Let us know your favorite teacher gifts!

The end of school is coming up quickly.  My boys have had some incredible teachers this year and I really want to let them know what a great year we had.  I wondered, "What do teachers REALLY want?"  The question comes up every Christmas and teacher appreciation day.

So, I Googled it.  The top responses in teacher polls were that their favorite gifts are homemade cards, books and pictures.  Not so much homemade food (unless they really know the family.)  After that, teachers like gift cards, Starbucks gift cards and movie passes.  It seems that they are a bit tired of candles.

We'll do some cute handwritten notes at home but you know that I can't resist free printables.

I found this cute printable from Build It, Sew It, Love It for the Dr. Seuss book, Hooray for Diffendoofer Day!

The book is on Amazon right now for $9.99 with free Prime shipping.

If you decide to get your favorite teacher a Starbucks (or other coffee shop) card, download this free "Thanks a Latte" printable that I found on Skip to My Lou.  They have instructions on how to get creative with the gift card.  So cute!

Instead of just handing our teachers their movie theater gift cards, you know we have to make it even more special with some treats.  I found pop corn sacks and big boxes of candy at the dollar store.  I'll attach this cute "For a Very POPular Teacher" free printable from Domesticated Lady to it to tie it all in.

To get an even better deal on movie passes, check out my blog, "3 Ways to Score Cheap Movie Tickets".

Yay teachers!  I would love to hear what your favorite teacher appreciation gifts are in the comments section below.
