Bottle Cap Necklaces are all the rage right now and one of our Money Saving Contributors, Amber, is showing us how to make them:
What You will need:
Bottle caps
Magnets
E6000 adhesive
Washers
Chokers
Mod Podge
Small Paint brush
Scrapbook paper
1 inch circle punch
Dimensional Magic
Any rhinestones or stickers you may want to decorate with (I use the rhinestones with sticky on the back)

Place a TINY dot of E6000 onto the back of the bottle cap and place the magnet onto it. E6000 is very strong and a little bit goes a very long way. Set aside to dry for a minute or two.
Use a 1 inch circle punch to cut out a circle from your scrapbook paper. It is easiest to turn your punch over to see what you are punching out if you are trying to get a specific image from your paper.
Brush a small amount of Mod Podge onto the inside flat part of the bottle cap.
Place your circle of paper onto it and flatten to make sure there are no bubbles.
If you are using any rhinestones or stickers, place those on top of the scrapbook paper.
Do not shake the bottle of Dimensional Magic, as it will cause air bubbles if you do. Squeeze a small amount of the Dimensional Magic onto your scrapbook paper and spread it over the paper to the edges of the bottle cap. If you are using rhinestones, do not put the Dimensional Magic over it. Just around it. You will need to make sure you pop any bubbles with the tip of the bottle.
Set aside to dry. It needs to stay flat for at least 3 hours.
Tie the washer onto the choker and when the bottle cap is dry, stick the magnet to the washer.
These can be made with any scrapbook papers or stickers you have. I’ve made them with zebra print papers and my daughter’s initial sticker and they are adorable.
All of the items I used here can be purchased at Hobby Lobby. The bottle caps are $2.00 for four, however, I purchased my bottle caps from www.bottlecapco.com. They offer many color choices in the caps and their prices are very reasonable. I paid $9.00 and got 100 bottle caps. He also has the chokers and washers available very reasonably priced as well. Enjoy!
