Note: I was having a few technical issues yesterday and could not get the pictures up, so I'll be posting 2 Frugal Gift Ideas today. =)

Welcome to Day 13 of our Frugal Christmas Gifts contest sponsored by GoldBuyersExpress.com. There is still time to enter our contest, check out this post, learn how and enter to win an $1100 diamond!

Today's frugal gift idea was sent in by Wendy. She said she makes these every year for teacher gifts. Great frugal idea!

{DIY Body Scrub}

Ingredients:

1c organic sugar

1c veg oil ( I use olive oil because it is good for your skin)

1 vitamin E capsule ( break open and add E oil to mix)

5 drops essential oil ( any fragrance you like)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and blend well with a spatula. Pour contents in 16 oz container with lid.

That's it. It is that easy! Put them in cute jars, attach a ribbon and a nice note.

Does the scent of the olive oil overpower the essential oil you put in for fragrance?

I bet the sugar will help block out the oil smell too. it is worth a try. i paid like $100 for some body scrub like this in vegas!! it used salt for the abrasion instead of sugar but i bet the sugar will work as well if not better. i'm excited to try it

Very cool. Everybody loves a nice body scrub and hesitates to spend money on these items at the store right now due to finances. What a neat and frugal idea!
