| Tweet |
Welcome to Day 14 of our Frugal Christmas Gifts contest sponsored by GoldBuyersExpress.com. There is still time to enter our contest, check out this post, learn how and enter to win an $1100 diamond!
One of our volunteers (Amy) gave me some awesome photo coasters the other night and I asked her to submit a tutorial showing us how it's done.
{DIY Photo Coasters}
Supplies:
Tiles at Lowe's for $.16cents.
Mod Podge Hobby lobby for $6
Printed Pictures at Walgreens for $1.33
Felt $.50cents Hobby lobby
Also you'll need hot glue gun and glue

Directions:
Clean the tiles
Cut the pictures down to size and Mod Podge the back of one picture at a time and then put one on each tile.
I applied pressure from the middle of the picture to the outside edges.
I waited about thirty mins and then painted the entire surface of the tile and photo (before this step clean photo of any finger prints)
Wait until the picture turns clear and is no longer cloudy, then apply a second coating of Mod Podge Wait several hours then apply a clear coat to each tile Wait about thirty mins in between each coat. I applied three coats to mine Last is to apply felt squares on each back corner.
Don't use or stack your coasters for a couple of days so they do not stick together.
Be sure to add some felt to the back so they don't scratch surfaces
