As I always say in my workshops, you have to think outside the box when it comes to saving money but it is important to do the same thing when it comes to making money too. I grew up around flea markets, pawn shops and auctions so I'm well versed in creative money making ideas. I've also managed to have my fair share of off the wall ideas...some have worked and others failed miserably.
Only a few months after I was married, I had a brilliant idea to sell tie-dye pillows...yeah, clearly that never took off. However, only a few years later, I had another idea, I decided to start a coupon website from my living room. Yep, sometimes the ideas work and sometimes they don't.
Our theme for the month is making extra cash...creatively. I'm currently working on an ebook called, 10 Ways to Make Cash Now and it will be released later on this month. In the meantime, I would love for you to submit your own creative cash making ideas! hi i just want to say i love this website it's great too and really not boring.
A creative way for teens to make some cash this spring is by offering a dog walking service in their neighborhood. With the weather getting nicer many people start thinking about walking their pets, but just don't have the time. Perfect opertunity for teens to make some cash and get exercise.
I do scrapbooks for people.
Ever since I found out I was having twins and was put on bed rest for my pregnancy I knew I would be a stay at home mom. So I was going crazy to find a way I could make some extra money. I started couponing and build my stockpile.
One time I took advantage of the Victoria Secret Secret reward card deal. I needed new bras and I stocked up on the reward cards. When the time came to use them I was lucky enough to get a $500 one and the rest were $10. I stocked up in cream, spray and perfume sets. I then made a bingo and I invited friends and family. I charged $20 for 4 cards. I also made a huge basket full of items that I had bought with coupons and sold tickets for them at the bingo. Everything went well and made a lot of money. It wasn't a big deal to host a party.
I now make a bingo party every month. In January I make a perfume set party from all the perfume sets that are on sale at stores, I also make baby bingo parties you name it I have done it =]
I never empty out any shelf's nor am I am extreme couponer. I also donate to my local church and to the women's shelter. I share with my mother and mother in law. I also always just get the limits that are allowed per my account. What I put in my raffle baskets are items that my family doesn't use and that I get via couponing but I don't see the items as completely free since I pay gas to go to the store and take my time to do scenarios and cut my coupons and so on.
I wanted to teach my oldest daughter to coupon so I came up with a great idea. She is in charge of selling sodas, water, chips at the bingos I host. Every time she has something different to sell because there is always different coupons for foods. The money she makes is put into her college savings account and is only allowed to spend $20 on what she wishes and with the money she also buys more food.
1-I am always looking for ways to make extra cash! I am a stay at home mom and work part-time to bring in some extra cash. I am able to stay home all day with the kids and also only work evenings so my husband can be home when I am not. This saves us a tone on daycare since we don't need any
2-I also make extra cash by selling things I no longer need on Craigslist
3-I collect and save all pop cans and turn them in making extra cash
4-I also consign when I can with JBF in fact I sold over 144.00 in items the kids no longer use or don't want. All I had to do is tag the items and drop them off.
