This is the time of year for sweetheart deals!  If you or your children like to make homemade valentines, you will love these first ideas.

{5 Frugal Valentine's Day Ideas}

1. Designer Lollipops: Our flowers and super heroes make lollipops even more fun.  These "sweet treats" are only 10 cents each.  We found the idea for the lollipop flowers at Skip to My Lou and the super heroes at Zakka Life.  Both come with free printables.

2. Unique M&Ms: In order to make the M&M party favors shown below, find the details at Shindig Parties To Go.  We liked the idea of the wording, "Have a Magnificent and Marvelous Valentine's Day" from Pinterest.  After buying the M&M's on sale and using a coupon, these cost approximately 10 cents each.

3. Pop Rock Candy Treats: For the cool kids with friends that rock, these pop rock candy bags will be a favorite valentine.  Find the pop rocks at Dollar Tree or Amazon and the bags at G.T. Bag Company.  Grab the free printable from Living Locurto.  The total cost is around 70 cents each.

4. Upcycled Chocolate Boxes: Make lunch special on Valentine's Day with this repurposed candy heart lunch box.  The box we used originally came filled with millionaires candy, so the cups are large enough to fill them with blueberries, fruit snacks, cheese, sandwiches cut with cookie cutters . . . anything your little valentine finds tasty.

5. Whole Foods Roses: Finally, what's Valentine's Day without roses?  Through February 14th, you can get two dozen roses from Whole Foods Market for only $30.  That's just $1.25 per rose!

Yep, you still have time to rock Valentine's Day without rocking your wallet! If you have more frugal ideas, be sure to post them and let us know!
