Welcome to 30 Days of Extreme Reality Couponing! Be sure to follow along with our tips on our Couponing 101 page. And, please spread the word and tell your friends about this series so they can also save 50-80% on their grocery bills!

Today I wanted to break down some of the more rare coupons available but they're good nonetheless:

1. Tearpad: A tearpad coupon is available typically on the display in the store or on the shelf right in front of the item. These are usually high dollar manufacturers coupons designed to change what you're buying at the last minute. The good news is that since they are manufacturer coupons, you can use them at other stores too.

2. Peelie: Peelies are the sticker-like coupons stuck on the products themselves. These are also manufacturer coupons that can be used at other stores. The only thing is, you cannot just take them off and use them at another store without buying the product. But, if you do happen to buy the product and get home with that peelie, you can take the coupon back and use it the next time you see a great sale.

3. Blinkie: Blinkies are coupons from Smartsource machines (red boxes) usually found in cereal aisles. These manufacturer coupons can be used at any store. I wouldn't recommend taking a bunch of them at one time, but you could certainly take one or two and use them the next time you see a sale.

4. Catalina Coupons: Catalina coupons are triggered by the items you are purchasing. When you purchase qualifying products, the Catalina coupon will print from the register at checkout via a Catalina machine. You can then use those coupons the next time you visit the store.

Some stores will advertise their Catalina deals while other stores will not. I've found Reasors stores will advertise the Catalina coupon on the shelf itself right in front of the products but not in the weekly sales ad.

Catalina coupons are actually manufacturers coupons and can be used at any store that accepts coupons. However, due to their look at the fact that they'll have the store name on them many times, most stores refused to take them. The Walmart coupon policy states however, they will accept Catalina coupons.

Rock those savings and be sure to share your tips with us too!
