Frugal Living: Freshen Your Home on the Stove

When it comes to making my home smell yummy, I'm all about using non-toxic ingredients that are found in my own pantry. In my opinion, this will scent better than any candle and it gets rid of yucky smells left by babies and doggies really fast!

{Ingredients}

Water

Cinnamon

Cloves OR Orange Peels

Directions: Fill up a pot on stove with about 3 cups of water and let it simmer. Add in 3 TBS of cinnamon (a little more or a little less) and throw in whole cloves or orange peels. The amount you add is entirely up to you. I let it simmer on the stove and let it fill the house.

I used to use this method all the time when we lived in our old house because it had such a musty smell. Now, with our new doggy, I'm doing it again. I completely forgot how much I love that smell and there are no chemicals so that's awesome too!

I like this, but I find that the smell doesn't last very long.
