Only a few weeks ago, I posted 10 Easy Ways to Save Money on Your Wedding. As we were researching the topic for an upcoming news segment, we decided it would be fun to make our own bridal bouquet. It is not as hard as you think,  I promise!

We found this $120 bouquet of roses and hydrangeas, it's beautiful but the cost is not. Hydrangeas are in season right now and that's key. Plan your flowers around what is already in season and even better, what is actually growing in your yard. If you know you're getting married next year then be sure to start out the Spring by planting the flowers you need for your wedding.

What You'll Need:

Hydrangeas (We picked them from the garden!)

Roses (Bought a dozen for $12.99 at Whole Foods)

White satin material to cover stems (We used an old slip)

Floral Pins

Floral Tape

Directions:  It is so easy to make the bouquet, simply arrange the flowers how you like and secure with floral tape. You can use green pipe cleaners too if that helps. After the arrangement is secure, wrap the white material around the stems then wrap around that the color of ribbon you'd like and secure with floral pins.

Easy. AND...it was less than $20. That is major savings. You can make your own bouquets, centerpieces, etc and skip out on those pricey professional arrangements. If you're nervous, it's cheap enough that you can practice first.
