*UPDATED December 1, 2011*

It is that time of year again! On December 1st, we will launch our 25 Days of Frugal Christmas Gifts series showcasing gift ideas from our readers. These are amazing craft ideas from homemade scarves to pie in a jar, all inexpensive yet perfect to give as gifts to family, friends and teachers.

You can submit your frugal gift tutorial including easy to read instructions and clear pictures to moneysavingqueen@gmail.com. This submission content and pictures  MUST BE ORIGINAL, please do not copy and paste from another website. The idea may be something you have found elsewhere but the instructions and pictures must be your own. Submit as many as you would like and try to make them as unique as possible. Our staff will go through every single submission and only 25 will be chosen. Those 25 will be featured, one per day, beginning December 1, 2011.

A photo album will also be created showcasing your frugal gift ideas on the Money Saving Queen Facebook page. After your gift idea publishes, it will be your job to generate as many comments on your post as possible. That means, once we post your tutorial on our website, get that link and e-mail your friends and family. Facebook comments DO NOT COUNT, the comments must be on the post itself on our website.

On December 31, 2011, our staff will count the comments on all the frugal gift pictures and the one with most comments will win a diamond from Gold Buyers Express!

NOTE: Your submission must include step by step instructions and pictures. Random frugal gift ideas and submissions with no pictures will not be considered.

You may submit multiple entries and we will decide 1 entry to publish. The more you send, the more chances you have of being published though so go ahead and send whatever you would like as long as it follows the instructions above.

Here are the specifics:

PGS certified

I think the most appreciated frugal gift I have ever done is making a working mom a homemade entree or pot of soup to put in the freezer. It's not just the food that's the gift it's also the gift of time that you are giving to the recipient, time to spend with family or just time for themselves. What's better than that??

My daughter and I went to Hobby Lobby, she picked out 12 suncatchers and paint. We paid $15. I think that's a good deal, and everyone knows that homemade gifts are the best.

The most frugal gift I give every year is dozens of baked cookies and candies to friends and neighbors. I even bake them and mail them to relatives and friends out of town. They appreciate them more than anything.

I love to bake and give cookies and candies to relatives and friends. I spend about $30 for ingredients and I can make enough to give to about 20 people. They love them and I'm asked every year, are we going to get these next year! Everyone loves homemade gifts.

This year I am making post-it-note holders. You use the 3x5 acrylic cheap photo holders 2 $1.00 scrap ribbon around the top, scrap paper in where you would put the photo. Peel the back of the post-it-notes place on top and you have a holder for less than $1.00 a gift. Takes less than 10 minutes to make each one!

Sorry this posted so many times but at first it wouldn't accept it...One year my mom made flavored butter and put it in little jars with handles. It was just butter mixed with preserves/jelly.

You can make and give your own gift certificates.
Examples: 1 free babysitting, 1 free hour of house cleaning, 1 free lawn mowing/ weedeating, 1 free dinner prepared by you not bought (put a minimum notification for prep time like 1 day or 1 week) , or 1 free hand car wash and vacumn.
Each person on your list has a different need, so make your gift fit them.
Your time can be much more valuable than anything you could buy them.

I use candy molds, usually small Christmas ones and use plaster aparis to make ornaments and then paint them. Make a small hole before they harden for a hook. I have made large sets and sent them all over to family and friends. They have always loved the.

I also buy different types of glasses (martini, champagne flutes, ect) at thrift stores ( usually get them for 10 cents to 25 cents each) and buy candle wax, scents, and wicks at craft stores and make sets of candles that match peoples taste in my family, you can also color them in their favorite colors.
