Frugal Kid Fun: Googly Eye Ornament

This is a simple and frugal craft that is whimsical, too. I came across this Google Eye ornament during one of my Pinterest clickathons. 

Buy the clear ornaments at Hobby Lobby. Catch them on the half off sale or be sure to take your 40% off coupon. Also, pick up an assortment of craft paint and googly eyes. That's all you need!

Step one: Drop some paint to form a dot on the ornament.

Step two: Add a googly eye to wet paint. Do one side of the ornament and let it dry before you do the other side. Let it rest on a cup or coffee mug. It's important for one side to dry before you do the other side because droppy eyes are not a good thing. 

Repeat until the whole ornament is done.

To add some extra color, you can paint the hanger attachment,too.

There you have it... a whimsical tree ornament perfect for a gift!
