Updated Frugal Living: Homemade Make-up Remover
| Tweet |
UPDATE: I posted this last week then this morning, I made it on the news. I wanted to point out a few things that I noticed. First, use less water, maybe 3 cups instead of 4. I drained the water out when I let it soak through but it was still way too much. Also, coconut oil is a solid when at room temperature or colder. This means, it will soak into the wipes just fine when melted but any remaining oil on the sides of the tub or sitting on the wipes could become a solid...and oily...which is gross. Maybe get the towels soaked through then move them to another container that's clean. Just needed a few adjustments...
Removing my make up is the last thing I want to do at the end of my day but we all know it's a must. This process is very similar to homemade baby wipes but offers a small spin on the recipe to make it perfect for removing make-up.

Homemade Make-Up Remover
2 containers
1 roll of select-a-size paper towels (Bounty works best)
4 cups water
squirt or two of baby wash of your choice
generous spoonful of coconut oil (found in a health foods or vitamin store)
Check out all the instructions and learn how to make this recipe easily and quickly on WhiteHouseBlackShutters.com.
I'm planning on making this very soon, those make-up remover wipes are outrageous!
