Pay Christmas Gifts with Cash Through Layaway + Store Policies

I know it's not even Halloween yet  but, we are talking about having an all cash Christmas and I'm challenging each of you to do the same. One way to do this is to utilize programs such as layaway. You do have to know your policies though and make sure it's a deal that really works for you!

I have posted each layaway policy below and you can decide which you like best.  I personally like Walmart because if the price drops, they'll honor it. There are pros and cons to each program so check them out below for yourself and let me know if you plan on using layaway this year:

Toys R Us

Best Buy

Kmart

Walmart

Sears

eLayaway

Marshalls

T.J. Maxx

Gordman's

Hallmark (each store has its own layaway terms)

Enjoy!

While I agree paying in cash is a good idea I disagree with the comment that "credit cards are a thing of the past". Unfortunately, cash is a thing of the past. People use their credit cards to pay for everything these days.

I think she is referring to the Dave Ramsey Financial plan in which "no credit cards" are part of the program; and the use of cash is focused on. She said that right before she said "credit cards are a thing of the past."
