Mom on the Move: Jami Sullins
I run a successful multi-level marketing business, Scentsy, from my home while focusing on my husband and two children. Paul and I have been married 13 years and we have a 10 year old daughter, Mackenzie, and an 8 year old son, Tony. Both of the kids attend Lincoln Christian School-which would have never been possible had I not found Scentsy.
I had worked in the education field for over 6 years. I loved my job, but I found that I was giving all of myself to the children at school which left my own children with my “leftovers.” They deserved so much more! When I came to this realization, I decided to really focus on a fun side-job that I had started a few months earlier, Scentsy. My husband was pushing for me to build my Scentsy business to become full-time income. I don’t know that I would have ever achieved what I have in my business without his support.
I am now a Star Director with Scentsy Wickless Candles. I love my job because it works around my life-not my life fitting around my job. Scentsy gives me the flexibility to focus on my family first and also make money to aide my family financially. When I first started with Scentsy, I simply did a few parties a month to make some extra cash. Now I spend my days booking home parties, delivering products and sample sets, and organizing training events so others can build their business. Scentsy is the perfect job for me because I am able to use all my strengths-an outgoing personality, a passion for teaching others, and a desire for a good bargain.
I also love the fact that I can help others with my business whether it is helping them achieve the desires of their heart with their own business or helping local organizations with effective fundraisers. I would love to talk to you about helping your family with Scentsy. Check out my website at http://jamijo.scentsy.us.
In what little spare time I have, I enjoy organizing many of the fundraising efforts of the Broken Arrow Relay for Life. This is an event that I have been a part of for 10 years. I started as just a participant but soon stepped into a committee role. Since I love to shop and bargain hunt, it was only natural that I take over the Silent and Live Auction at the event. I absolutely love organizing fun themed baskets and other items for the fundraiser. We recently added team on-site fundraisers to the event as well. That really boosted our fundraising total last year pushing it over $143,272.00! All of this money goes to the Amercian Cancer Society and much of the money remains right here in the Tulsa area. You can find out more about this event which is held in June every year at www.relayforlife.org/brokenarrowok.
You can also find me most Sundays greeting visitors at Church on the Move in Tulsa. I love volunteering for the Host Team at my church because I get to use my love of hospitality to help visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Since COTM is so large, it really is helpful to have a friendly face assist while getting new kids checked into their classes and helping parents find their way around.
While I am a busy Mom, I adore my children and love having the flexibility to spend time with them, get them to their events and help with their homework. I work harder at everything I do because I know they are watching my every move and I want them to learn to serve God, work hard, and help others.
