Travel Savings for AARP Members

I have my dad to thank for my love of coupons (yep, that's him in that pic with my mom). Now, he that he's hit the big 60, I decided to researched some savings to help him and the millions of  other AARP members out there. Whether it's by air, land or sea, there are plenty of deals for the 50+ crowd.

Tour and vacation packages are super popular and I certainly understand why! AARP members receive discounts and/or benefits from a wide selection of tour companies offering bicycle trips, educational programs, spiritual journeys and more. In fact, for AARP members Norwegian Cruise Lines offers an exclusive 5% discount on cruises fleet wide.

Hotels and resorts want your business and are willing to knock up to 20% off the room rate AARP members. Some of the chains which  honor the AARP discount include Best Western, Choice Hotels, Hampton Hotels, Hyatt, LaQuinta Inns & Suites and Starwood Hotels.

When it comes to hitting the open road if you need to rent a car, the folks at Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National offer AARP members up to 25% off!
To get these discounts, you do have to join AARP. The annual membership is $16 dollars. From where I sit... which is right next to my dad as he is clipping coupons for me... the return far outweighs the investment.
