Do you have to have a k-mart card before you can use the coupons

How did you guys even know this existed? I don't see anything on the KMART website. I live in Tennessee so how do I go about finding out if our KMART is participating. I live 5 minutes from Kmart and never shop there so this is a completely new thing for me.

This if the funny thing for me. I am at the end of week 2 on the coupon thing. I used to be a loyal Wal Mart shopper. Now I never go in there. Also I used to buy groceries and not think about it.

Now I get when I get a great deal. Like deodorant for $0.42 at Dollar General from one of your posts.

But...I went to Rite Aid yesterday. I got good deals not great deals. My OOP was a little higher than I would have wanted. I was so upset. That is when I realized I am completely addicted. I was actually upset that I didn't save enough money.

I oh it all to the queens. I bow to you. Keep it coming.

Oh- I got my coupons from De De in 3 days. I am going to tear it apart at Kroger tomorrow!

So what is the planning strategy to max this doubling event? Look for $2 coupons to get overage to apply to something else? no, seriously... how are you guys approaching looking for a good deal?

You have to present your rewards card for your Qs to double. 5 Qs per day per card.

I have not been in a K-Mart store for many years and decided to scope out the 21st street store on my lunch hour today.

I have to say I was a little disappointed. Not real clean, and everything was just kind of "jumbled" around. The pricing seemed very high, especially on the HBA items. I was looking for ideas for my $2.00 coupons but sure did not find many.

One funny thing happened though. The registers were empty and I had a little old lady for a cashier. She was taking her new $1.00 bills and wadding them up into little balls and putting them back into the register like this! I could tell she was very focused on her task and I was a minor interuption.
When she gave me my change, she handed me back (3) little balled-up $1 bills. I wanted to laugh so bad but just said "Oh My!" as they fell all over the counter. I stretched them back out, put them in my wallet and left the store smiling. She went right back to wadding up her new $1 bills.
I think I need a job like that!

Has anyone been to the 51st street/Sand Springs stores and are they any better or about the same??

I found the 51st Street store to be clean and the employees very pleasant. Not nice enough, though, for me to go there on non-doubling days!

Does this only happen once a year?

I believe it is a semiannual event occurring once in the spring and once in the fall. I haven't been couponing enough to know for sure though.
